"Fifteen" by Beverly Cleary

The main character's name is Jane. Jane is 15 years old. She seems like a nervous girl. She dreams of one day meeting a boy.

Jane is lonesome. She would like a boyfriend. She is jealous of a girl called Marcy Stokes. She wants to ride in a car with her very own boyfriend.

This story takes place over the summer. Jane spends most of her time babysitting. She babysits assorted kids. One of them is a nightmare, is what I bet Jane thinks.

Jane lives in a town called Woodmont. It is a medium sized town. Jane can walk nearly anywhere. She wonders "maybe if I drink my soda reallyyy slowly, maybe a boy will show up.

A new boy moves into town. His name is Stan crandall. He is the boy Jane always dreamed of. They hit it off.

Jane and Stan become boyfriend and girlfriend. They learned a lot about one another. They met when he was delivering horse meat for dogs where Jane was babysitting. They began to "go steady" at a school movie.
