The Secret Garden 4. A heather review.

In chapter IV, mary wakes up to a housemaid raking out cinders quite noisily.Mary had never been in a room like the one she was in now, but I think the book says she thought it curious and gloomy. Mary also hated the moor, but the housemaid said that was because mary was not used to it. The housemaid said that mary thought it was to big and too bare, but that mary would like the moor soon enough. Mary asked the housemaid, known as Martha, if she liked the moor. The housemaid did indeed, she said and that it tis fairly lovely in summer with the heather and gorse and the smell of honey is around. Martha said she wouldn't live away from it for the world.Mary asked who was going to dress her and do you know what Martha said? she said it in broad yorkshire, just like this.: Eh! canna tha dress thysen! it means, can't you even dress yourself?!? Mary said "No, my Ayah dressed me of course." but Martha said she would teach mary. Well, I guess that tis it, so Seeya OK? Love, Heather
